Karen Veerhusen Obituary

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the Cedar Cemetery in Fonda, Iowa. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in STORM LAKE. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements.
Karen was born October 12, l940 in Fonda, Iowa, the daughter of William and Rachel (Wolter) Veerhusen. She received her education in Fonda, Iowa. Growing up, Karen attended the Presbyterian Church in Fonda, Iowa.
Karen never married but spent time with her family and friends. She was a true friend. Karen enjoyed Elvis movies and music and western shows. Over the years, Karen worked at Genesis before retiring. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo with her friends. Karen had a nickname of Care Bear.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and brother, LeRoy Veerhusen.
Those left to cherish her memory include cousins.
