In Loving Memory of Katherine Darlene Saunders
July 8, 1947 - March 27,2022
Katherine (Kate) was born in Atchison, Kansas on July 8,1947 she was the only child of Helen B. Saunders whom preceded her in death. Her Grandmother Dora Matthews who also preceded her in death played a huge part in her life. Katherine became member of Zion Baptist Church in Atchison, KS. At an early age andwas baptized. Katherine attended Lincoln elementary and Atchison High School before relocating in Kansas City, Ks. Katherine was a patient at K.U.M.C her daughter, son and cousin was present when she was called to be with her Lord March 27, 2022. Katherine worked a variety of different jobs. She enjoy cooking, cleaning and caring for others. Katherine was cook for Salvation Army Daycare and Medical Lodge. Throughout the years Katherine became a caregiver at Adult Services, Inc. where she enjoy caring and helping people with their daily living activities. Katherine attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church where Melvin and she enjoy worship and praising the Lord with their church members. She leave to cherish her memory, her loving children, Charles Saunders Sr., Charlotte Saunders, Tyrone Saunders and Melvin Strode III all of Kansas City, Ks. Also her loving grandchildren, Charlycia Griffin, Javelion Griffin, Charyonna Bowens, DeYontrez Bowens, LaJaveyon Saunders, Charles Saunders Jr., Tapica Hunter, Dymond Hunter, and D'metrious Justice and loving Great grandchildren. Uncles and Aunts/Siblings, Ernest Saunders, (Carrie)Queens, NY., Vermine D. Matthews (Shirley) Bellevue, NE, Melvin Mattews (Yasmin) mira Loma, CA, Suzettia Saunders, Marietta, GA., Geneva (Donald) Crawford, K.C.KS, Carmen Augustus, K.C.KS, and a host of other relatives and friends.
