Linda Holmgren Obituary
1951 – 2023
Dayville – Linda Ann (Mason) Holmgren, 71, of Ware Road, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving husband Bob, as well as her four loyal dogs, Slick, Del, Cal, and Star on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was the loving wife of Bob Holmgren. Born in Webster, MA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Alice (Grzyb) Mason.
Linda owned and worked at Mason insurance with her brother for many years. When it was time to move to another field Linda found herself working at Day Kimball Hospital doing administrative work for medical records.
Linda lived a very active and fulfilling life over the years. She was a member of Sneak Southern New England Agility Club where she competed with her dogs in agility competitions. Linda also enjoyed staying active by hiking, gardening, and keeping her yard tidy. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and had a love for the ocean and seashells. During her time indoors Linda loved to play piano as well as the organ. You could often find Linda and her husband Robert listening to Doris Day or musicals. Linda was also a devoted catholic and went to church every Sunday and on holidays.
Linda is survived by brother Gerald Mason of Webster, MA; niece, Michelle Mason of Webster, MA; and her extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by brother, Paul Michael Mason.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gilman & Valade Funeral Homes & Crematory. A burial will take place at St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery in Webster, MA where Linda will be buried with her mother at 10am on April 20, 2023. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Day Kimball Hospice & Palliative Care of North Eastern Connecticut and Meals on Wheels.
