Lisa M. Morris, 46 of Ocean View, DE passed away on January 12, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 18, 1977 in Philadelphia, PA a daughter of James Vincent Morris, Sr. and Patricia Marie (Wright) Morris.
Lisa was an animal lover. She enjoyed her cats, dogs and feeding her birds.
She loved children and volunteered at Lord Baltimore School, Room to Grow and the Children's Place. She also was a Candy Striper at St. Christopher's in Philadelphia, PA.
Lisa enjoyed listening to country music, especially Toby Keith, the Dixie Chicks and Blondie. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies.
She was preceded in death by a brother James Morris.
Surviving in addition to her parents is a sister, Stephanie Docherty (Kevin) of Lewes, DE; nieces, Victoria Aslan (Sait), Lily Docherty and Julia Docherty; nephew, Owen Docherty and several aunts and uncles; and her best friend, Chrissy of Manheim, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org of which Lisa was so passionate about.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE where friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 32112 Vines Creek Rd, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
