Luther Edison “Ed” Johnson 82 of Chillicothe passed from this life Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born in Ross County on Saturday, May 2, 1942, to the late Luther and Rosie (Keaton) Johnson. On Friday, January 10, 1964, he married the former Barbara A. Gray. He is survived by his wife; daughter Kimberly (Keith) Greene; son Lee Johnson; grandson Ian Greene; sister Ellen (Gene) Posey; brothers Omer (Linda) Johnson, Ernie (Cindy) Johnson, Brad (Elaine) Johnson and Tony (Cathy) Johnson; sister-in-law Laura Kerns; brother-in-law Larry (Brenda) Nevin and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Ed was preceded in death by a sister Sandy Hines and a brother Bernie Johnson.
Ed was a very simple man who retired from construction and in earlier years he enjoyed coon hunting and farming.
A graveside service will be held 1 pm Monday, May 20, 2024, in the Twin Township Cemetery with Rev. Richard Vititoe officiating.
