Lynette Carol Hanson

Lynette Carol Hanson, 56, Brocket, ND, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Lynette was born on October 1, 1968 in Jamestown, ND to Chuck and Carol (Rode) Rodin. She grew up and attended school in Marion, ND, and graduated from Marion High School. She married Kevin Hanson on May 13, 1989, in Marion and together they had two sons. Lynette worked at Alpha Opportunities in Jamestown, Camp Grafton, nursing home in Devils Lake, the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lakota, and owned the Brocket Café. She most recently worked for the US Postal Service in Brocket, Lakota, and Devils Lake.
Lynette enjoyed outdoor activities, especially camping and riding on the pontoon. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Lynette is survived by her husband, Kevin; 2 sons, Patrick (Miranda), and Brandon, all of Brocket; 6 grandchildren, Alexis, Benjamin, Elliot, Thea, Rhody and Ainslee; her parents, Chuck and Carol Rodin; sister, Melissa Rodin; 2 nephews, Dalton and Dylan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Lakota Ambulance and first responders for the kind and compassionate care given during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Aaker Funeral Home, Lakota.
Burial will be held at Hoff Cemetery, rural Brocket, at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post #21 / DD's place on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1 PM.
