Mae was born February 25, 1939 in Monroe, LA and passed away October 10, 2023 in Jonesboro, LA. She was a member of Clark Springs Baptist Church. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; X.L. Leonard and Elsie Speights; son Eugene McVay, Jr.
Mae is survived by her husband J.T. Gilmore; children, Jerry McVay and wife Lisa, P.D. McVay, Don McVay and wife Betty and step-son Brad Gilmore; 8 grandchildren; siblings Penny Warner, Mary Elizabeth Schoonover and husband Bryan and Joseph Don Leonard and wife Brenda.
A special thanks to Forest Haven Nursing and Rehab and Jackson Parish Hospital for the care given to our mother.
