Marlene M. Young

Marlene M. Young, age 86, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Edgewater Haven Health Care Center. She was born on January 7, 1937 in Veedum, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Ula Kumm. Marlene married Lloyd M. Young on June 15, 1957 in Veedum. She enjoyed reading, camping, playing cards and playing train dominos, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Marlene is survived by her husband of 66 years Lloyd; her children, Jodene (Richard C. Gruber Jr.) Gruber, Curtis Young, Timothy J. Young, Todd A. (Edith) Young; grandchildren, Ryan J (Cassie) Gruber, Laura (Michael) Zeinert, and Daniel Smith; great grandson, Wyatt Coates. brothers, Gerald Kumm, Lynn Kumm and Floyd Kumm. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ernest Kumm, Allen Kumm, Elmer Kumm and Myron Kumm; sisters, Audrey Derusseau, Margaret Kumm, Erma Bock and Verna Hoekstra.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of the services at the church. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
