Bryan V. O'Day, age 65, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-5:00 P.M. on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Bryan was born November 30, 1959 in Adams, WI to Jere and Bonnie (Zastava) O'Day. He attended Lincoln High School, class of 1978. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1981-1985. He then enlisted in the Air Force Reserves, serving until 1988.
He married Colleen Olson on November 12, 1985 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
He was a lover of history, an avid reader, and a loyal fan of Wisconsin sports teams, cheering on the Brewers, Packers, Badgers, and Bucks with unwavering enthusiasm. His casual demeanor and great sense of humor were his trademarks, and his stories never failed to captivate his audience.
Bryan's love for his family was unparalleled. He was a pillar of strength and support for his beloved wife, Colleen. Their love story was one of adventure, filled with travels to Ireland, shared laughter, and unforgettable memories. His love for his granddaughter Morgan was manifested in the joy he found in babysitting her. Bryan's legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Colleen; daughter, Casey (Josh) Hendricks of Wisconsin Rapids and granddaughter, Morgan; siblings: Tim (Sandy) O'Day, Mark O'Day, Heather O'Day, and Jennifer O'Day; father-in-law, Irvin Olson; sister-in-law, Karen (John) Pisula; brothers-in-law: Charles Olson and Korey (Cheridy) Olson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Sherre, Mike, and Patti.
Thank you to the staff at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital, Dr Asquith and the Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Cancer Center, Aspirus Hospice, and Edenbrook for the excellent care Bryan received. Special thanks to his longtime friend, Ron Pelot, for sticking with him and always being there to help.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.
