I am very late in responding to the news of Ann's death which was recently forwarding to me. Ann was a student of mine in fourth grade. I was at St. Vincent de Paul parish probably fifteen years or more and ran into her. I was apologizing to her for my teaching ability or lack thereof as a twenty year old with minimal college. Ann hugged me so warmly and reassured me that I did just fine from her perspective. In fact, she relieved me of the guilt I had been feeling. I don't know if her family will ever see this message. Her kindness carried over throughout her life. I am sure she will be waiting for me on the other side for another hug.

I worked with Ann at the Wood County Health Department for a year and she was unfailingly kind to me. My deepest condolences.

I had Ann as a teacher out at Midstate here in Rapids. She was a very special person. As a 50 year old that was just starting classes after working 30 years in a factory she was very patient and understanding person.I am exremely sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. The world was a better place while she was here. Glad I got to know her.
