James D. “Jim” Franks, age 73, of Bancroft, passed away peacefully November 4, 2025, at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by his family.
He was born August 21, 1952, in Wild Rose, the son of Delton and Marion (Gethers) Franks.
Jim grew up in the Wisconsin Rapids area, graduating from Lincoln High School and Mid-State Technical College. After graduation, he served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service in the Air Force, he began his career at Del Monte. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his father, Delton Franks, brother Rick (Sheila) Franks, sister Sandra (Gerry) Lowe, sister Cheryl (Curt) Evenson, granddaughter Kelly Franks, special friend, Dorothy “Dottie” Larson, and many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
He was preceded in death by mother, Marion, his wife, Lynn, his son, Scott, and his daughter, Tanya.
