Roberta "Bobbi" L. Lord, born on April 23, 1942 in Holland, Michigan, lived a life filled with love for her family, friends, and the many pets that were lucky enough to be part of her world. Bobbi was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and grace, illuminating the lives of those she encountered. She was an avid reader who found solace and joy in the pages of countless books. With a heart as vast as the Wisconsin sky, she devoted her life to the care and love of many dogs and cats over the years. As the poet Anatole France once said, "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." Bobbi's soul was fully awake, brimming with compassion and a deep affection for all living things.
Bobbi was not only a lover of animals, but also a lover of nature and the great outdoors. She spent countless hours walking, especially with her beloved dog Maddie. Both she and Maddie found joy in the rhythm of their shared steps, in the peace and tranquility they encountered on their walks. Bobbi also enjoyed bicycling and swimming, truly embracing the beauty of the natural world. Bobbi's love for nature extended to her garden, where she worked tirelessly with both live and silk flowers, creating a vibrant display of colors that mirrored her vibrant personality. An ardent fan of the Green Bay Packers, particularly during the Brett Favre era, Bobbi's passion and enthusiasm were infectious. She worked as a dedicated receptionist for CW Transport until her retirement, her commitment and work ethic emblematic of her overall approach to life.
Bobbi L. Lord is survived by her husband, John Lord, her brother, LeRoy Johnson, her stepdaughter, Nichole Pazcek; step-granddaughter, Danica Pazcek. She is further survived by 7 nephews, 5 nieces, and several great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mabel Johnson, her brothers, Richard and George Johnson, her sister-in-law, Patty Johnson, her brother-in-law, Dallas Smith, his wife Charlene Smith, and her nephew, Jeff Rowe.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 12:00pm CST at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Center, followed by a memorial service at 1:00pm CST. Burial will be at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.

Bobbi's legacy of kindness, compassion, and love for all living things will continue to inspire us. Let us remember her words, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." Until we meet again, Bobbi, may you rest in peace.
