Mary was born in York on November 24, 1933. She proudly graduated from York Catholic High School with the class of 1952 and married the love of her life, Joseph Roth on September 27, 1952. Joe and Mary faithfully attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spring Grove for over 60 years. Mary and Joe enjoyed many years of Square and Round Dancing and were avid card players mostly unbeatable as a team which is how they were as a couple in general. Throughout their lifetime together, they traveled extensively with family to every state in the United States, most National and State parks, as well as destinations overseas.
Family was everything to Mary. She loved everyone and loved life to the fullest. She has extended family and friends who are blessed to also call her Mom. Mary was known to live her faith in all of her words and actions. She enjoyed many church activities: she sang in the choir, was a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered countless hours in the kitchen and on many committees. She also volunteered for Meals On Wheels, Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, food banks, and more. Mary loved being a Stay At Home Mom for 22 years and then she drove bus for Spring Grove Schools for 18 years. During this time she became an avid bowler and made many lifelong friends.
Our family extends a thank you for the love, support and thoughtfulness during this time.
