Maurine Clark Obituary
Mrs. Maurine Beth Lennox Clark, 94, died peacefully on September 21, 2023.
Maurine was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 30, 1929, and resided in Millington, Michigan, with her husband Harry, her son, and four daughters. Growing up in North Lake, Maurine attended Spring Hill School and graduated from Millington High School in 1947. She enjoyed spending time with her family and filling her home with antiques. Maurine and Harry spent a lot of time traveling with the latest antique guide, searching for new treasures. The “hunt” was certainly the best part.
While Jack was a Cub Scout, she was a den mother. She was active with Job’s Daughters with her four girls and Bethel Guardian for a few years. She loved taking her family to the Lennox family cabin in Lovells, Michigan. Exploring trails through the pine trees and sending each kid with a small pail in hand to fill with blueberries for the morning pancakes. In later years, when the trails were no longer something she could do, traveling to Petoskey to enjoy the views and shopping in the boutiques was something she looked forward to.
She is survived by her daughters: Cindy Clark, Colette (John) Martin, Wendy (Rod) Dunham, Sue (Terry) Burns; daughter-in-law, Wanda Reinert; 13 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Sybil) Lennox; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clark; son, Jack Clark; great-grandchildren, Spencer and Aurora Manwell; parents, Paul & Betty Lennox; and sister, Sue Lennox Cagle.
Maurine’s family will welcome visitors to Hanlin Funeral Home – Millington from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Funeral services for Maurine will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023; additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Afterwards, Maurine will be laid to rest next to her husband, Harry, in Millington Township Cemetery.
Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Millington Arbela District Library or a charity of one’s choice.
