Michael Flynn Obituary

Born and raised in Jersey City, Michael was the only child born to the late Anthony and late Rosina Flynn. He married Dorothy in 1968 and the couple lived in Hasbrouck Heights for 43 years before moving to Cedar Crest Village in 2016. Michael had a long career as an engineer, retiring from Picatinny Arsenal in 2006 after over 40 years. Michael had a lifelong passion for learning, which he continued to pursue well into his retirement, and held degrees from NJIT, NYU and Seton Hall Law School.
Michael is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Rosemarie Flynn, Michael Flynn and his wife Carrie, and James Flynn and his wife Lisa; and his grandchildren, Sadie and Mason.
A memorial Mass will be held 9:30 am Monday, September 27 at Cedar Crest Chapel, Pompton Plains. Masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory can be made to John Theurer Cancer Center c/o HUMC Foundation, 160 Essex St, Suite 101, Lodi, NJ 07644.
