Nancy Walsh Myron, 91, of Ocala Florida passed away at Cedar Cottage (AFCH) on Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was such a wonderful mother and friend and was always there when we needed her.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Barbara Stolz (husband Raymond Stolz) of Pennsylvania, by her daughter, Mari Beth Westlund (husband David Westlund) of Texas, and by her grandchildren, Andrew Baillie of New Jersey, Kelli Westlund and Katie Westlund both of Texas. She is predeceased by her spouse of 69 years, George Myron, her parents William and Irene Walsh, her daughter, Patricia Myron, her son, Stephen Myron and her grandson, Christopher Baillie.
Nancy was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 31, 1932 and lived most of her life in New Jersey until she retired to Ocala, Florida in 1997.
Nancy was employed by the New Jersey Education Association for many years and worked at the Millburn Junior and Senior High Schools. Nancy was such an outgoing person and made friends easily. She maintained close relationships with several of her Bloomfield High School girlfriends for over 70 years.
Nancy was an active member in The Ocala Palms community and she especially enjoyed singing in the choir, playing cards, bible study and golf activities. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and good friends.
A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (910 E Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470) on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00pm. A committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 9:00 am, Monday, December 4, 2023.
