Neng Vang

In Loving Memory of Neng "Duke" Vang (1982 – 2023)
Neng was born in Xieng Khouang, Laos on January 16, 1982, and passed away in Decatur, Arkansas on September 28, 2023. He is survived by his parents Chong Kai Vang and Shia Lor Vang; beloved wife, Sherry Lee; three sons, Cam Vang, Kingston Vang, and Jameson Vang; one daughter, Celeste Vang; and his five siblings Kell Vang, Souk Vang, Amanda Vang, Anita Vang, and Boun Vang. He was a cherished son, devoted brother, loving husband, and a great father, but his presence in our lives was so much more than just titles. Neng lived life fearlessly and always had a "glass half full" energy about him.
Witty in nature with an infectious smile, Neng never shied away from speaking his mind. Though smaller in size, he didn't take crap from anyone, and his smart remarks were always sure to entertain. His fearlessness was a testament to his strength, and he showed us all the power of resilience.
But beyond his fearless exterior, Neng had a heart of gold. He loved without judgment, accepting people for who they were and celebrating their individuality. He had an innate ability to take care of others, offering a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone in need. Neng's kindness knew no bounds, and his generosity touched countless lives.
As a friend, Neng was one of a kind. He was a true companion from beginning to end, loyal and
unwavering. He cherished his friendships and made sure those close to him knew just how much they meant to him. His presence lit up the room, and his laughter was contagious.
Today, we say goodbye to the BEST, but we know his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As he takes flight into the great unknown, we find solace in the belief that we will meet him again someday.
As he would always say, "Tomorrow is a brand-new day!" and one day, we'll meet again Neng. Until then, we'll be missing you.
The funeral service for Neng will be held at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home from 8am-11pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023; continued at 8am-11pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Burial will take place at Bentonville Cemetery on Monday, October 30, 2023. The funeral procession will leave from the funeral home at 9am on Monday.
