Paul Karides Obituary
Born Jan. 29, 1933 in Covington Va. Son of the late James Arthur and Marion Karides. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his son, David Michael Karides, his brother Arthur and sister Diane.
He is survived by his Wife of 72 years, Betty M. Karides, daughters Paula Horne (Brian) of S.C., Susan Craig (Sonny) of Amherst Va., Sherry Goodman (Ray) of Concord, Va., and son Steve Karides (Tina) of Temple, Ga., and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Paul was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Samaritan's Purse or Oakdale Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Va. where he was a member.
A private memorial will be held at a later date at the Mountain View cemetery in Vinton, Va.
Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
