Phinease Watts, Jr. Obituary
Phinease Romeris Watt Jr., son of Phinease Watt and Angela Gamble (Townsend) was born on February 15, 1974, in the County of Cook, Chicago, Illinois.
In his early years, Phinease Jr., was known as "Pooh" and later as a "Fashionable Gentleman." During his childhood, Phinease Jr., moved to Elkhart, Indiana, and enrolled in the Elkhart County Public School system, and graduated in 1993 from Elkhart Central High School.
On July 7, 2007, Phinease was united in Holy Matrimony to Angel Williams; thereafter, they relocated to Louisville, Kentucky where they celebrated 16 years and raised six beautiful children.
Phinease enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, which meant everything to him. He was a very kindhearted and encouraging man who put his everything into being a devoted husband, loving father, and best friend to everyone. Phinease was an avid music lover with a special talent of being a DJ always utilizing the special equipment he received from his children. He is known for DJ'ing Chicago house music. When playing music, he liked to be called "DJ PJ." Phinease loved his hometown football team - the Chicago Bears and was a die-hard Bears fan. When given the chance he would frequent home games. He also loved to barbecue and had a specialty of barbecued beer-can chicken.
Phinease knew Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and reflected so in his daily habits, especially in his kindness toward others.
On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, with his wife at his bedside, Phinease peacefully passed away. He was 49. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Angel Williams-Watt; six children Phinease Hall, Cameryan Watt, Jason Jackson, Jasmine Jackson, Christian Jackson and Ashland Williams; two grandchildren Romeris Hinkle and Joyful Bibbs; his mother, Angela Gamble; his siblings and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by a sister Corecia Gamble; stepfather Jessie Gamble; his father Phinease Watts, and grand-father Benjamin Townsend.
The love and kindness of Phinease will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

My sincerest condolences to Phinease´s beautiful wife Angel, my aunt Angie, his children and all of the people who loved and cared for him. I am proud to say he is my cousin. He was so kind, pleasant to be around and was always positive. I will always cherish the time I got to spend with him and Angel when visiting them in Louisville and our phone conversations. He was what this world needed and still needs. I hope he can rest knowing the impact he made on others.
