He was a jack of all trades. If there was a job to be done for friends and family he was the first available. Rene was not only interesting, but he was also interested. He took to heart the things his loved ones cared about and ensured they knew he was there to cheer them on. He spent his most cherished moments at children's and grandchildren's events but enjoyed even more the aftermath when he had the opportunity to talk to them and brag about just how proud he was.
He loved taking his kids and grandbabies for all experiences. He was always down for an adventure. He never met a stranger or a kid that he didn't treat like wasn't his. He loved all kinds of music, especially his "bump bump". Rene lived the life we are all called to live, a life of service to family, friends, and community.
He was preceded in death by his father Juan Ramirez, two brothers Ruben Ramirez and Augustine Ramirez.
Survivors include his wife, Desiree Lamme of Temple, Tx; daughters Haven Ramirez (TJ Willis) and Destiny Ramirez (Garrett Bushing) of Temple; Mother Micaila Donoso of Temple; Mother & Step Father Adella & Jesse Cruz of Moody; two grandchildren, Kyleigh Rene Willis and Bailey Jewell Bushing both of Temple; Michael Ramirez of Temple; Elena & Joshua Wright of Temple; Olivia & Justice Channing of Temple; Carlos & Kari Cruz of Austin; Broderick Sauls of Waco; Billy Eppinger of Belton; Gerry Ulicnik of Buckholts, TX; a host of nieces and nephews.
Hewett Arney Funeral Home will be hosting the funeral service Saturday December 23, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
