Ricky Carl Obituary

Born February 11, 1953, in Elmira, he was the son of John and Grace Shelman Carl. On September 1, 2019, in Bolivar he married Janice Johnson who survives.
Ricky attended National Technical Schools in Buffalo and also Corning Community College. In 1970 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1972.
Ricky worked several years as an inspector for AMC in Olean. He was also a records inventory clerk for the City of Corning and was a clerk in the Army.
He was an avid supporter for the Wounded Warrior Project and loved being out on the water fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Jami (Tim) Woods of Elmira and son Cory Carl of Bath.
He was predeceased by his son Matthew Carl of Virginia and daughter Alicia Carl.
In respect to Ricky's wishes, no services are being scheduled. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship, NY.
