Rigoberto Robles Diaz, born November 23, 1968, in Cutzamala De Pinzon, Gro. Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2023, and reunited with his sister, Obdulia Arroyo Diaz, brother, Rodolfo Robles Diaz and both his mother and father, Dominga Diaz Macedo and Amando Robles Burgos.
Rigo is survived by his children, Anna Maria Torres (Robles) and husband, Jesus Ramon Torres, Leticia Robles and her husband, Jose Manuel Villegas Arreola, Julian Robles and his fiancé, Brenda Soberano Medina, Anthony David Robles and wife, Laura Macedo, Amando Robles and significant other, Hailey Russell, Cristina Robles, and Elizabeth Robles; twelve grandchildren; sister, Ana Aguirre Diaz; and brothers Nazario Arroyo Diaz, Javier Aguirre Diaz, Ranferi Robles Diaz, and Ramon Robles Diaz.
Rigo was a loving father to all his children. He had enough love to go around and around. Although most of his children were grown and had their own families, daddy was always just a phone call away no matter what the situation. Being a father of seven also means he had to be a hard-working man. Rigo spent most of his life working at Fair View Nursey in what he truly loved to do-- working with flowers and plants. He decided to part ways and started on a new adventure at Bridgestone/Firestone and was excited that he was quickly moving up and was recently promoted.
Although Rigo was born in Mexico, anyone who knew him knew that Wilson, N.C. was going to be his forever home. He moved to Wilson at a very young age and built his life and started his family there. He has lived at the same location for over 28 years and became well-known in the community, leaving behind so many wonderful memories at his home away from home, Fred’s Store with all his “brothers” and “sisters” as he would say. If he was not working or at home, everyone always knew that (Rico) could be spotted at Fred’s.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 27 at 2:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 27 from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home.
Condolences directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home and Crematory at www.joyners.net.

Rigoberto Robles Diaz
