Robert Henry Grill

I commit myself to God's care, secure in his love for me and trusting in the salvation purchased for me through Christ's suffering and death. I leave those who survive me the comfort of knowing that I have died in this faith and have now joined my Lord in eternal glory.
Robert Henry Grill was born on October 27, 1928 in Green Island, Iowa the son of Fred Grill and Anna Margaret Meyer. He went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on December 1, 2022.
Robert was baptized at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Preston, Iowa on May 20, 1930. He attended Clinton High School in Clinton, Iowa and graduated in 1947. He was married to Mary Katherine Andersen on April 15, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa. For over 30 years he worked for Montgomery Elevator Company and retired in 1992. He was a long-standing member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa and since 1997, a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Flower Mound, Texas. The most important things to Robert were his family, cars (especially Ford's) and working with his hands fixing and building anything and everything, which he did for family, friends and neighbors. He loved spending time with his family.
Surviving him are four children, all in Texas, Sandra (Joseph John) Reedy of Shady Shores, Roger (Danita) of Double Oak, Mark (Tara) of Lewisville, and Susan (Steve) Harris of Lantana, seven grandchildren: Rebecca (Edward) Garcia, Mikayla (Keegan) Downs, Ethan Grill, Makenzie Grill, Jonathan Grill, Kyle Grill and Katrina Harris, four great-grandchildren: Gabriella Garcia, Marissa (Eric) Wells, Jocelyn Garcia and Nathaniel Garcia and one great-great grandchild, Mariana Wells. Also surviving are two sisters, Carol Dierks of Arizona, Betty (Richard) Drury of Clinton, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pre-deceasing him were his wife Mary, parents, a daughter Debra, four sisters and five brothers-in-law.
A service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Flower Mound, Texas on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00. Arrangements are being made by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas.
