James Robert Rich - known to many as Jim or Bob - passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born on July 20, 1936, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to James and Dorothy Rich. They moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he grew up alongside his 2 bothers Doug and Larry. After high school he joined the Navy and the adventure began. He proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Navy, traveling the world to places such as Spain, Germany, Greece and many more exotic places.

Throughout his life, Jim called many places home - from Cincinnati, Ohio to Jacksonville, Florida, and many places in between before settling in Lantana, Texas to be closer to his family.

Jim married the love of his life, Kathy, and together they shared nearly 65 wonderful years of marriage.

After retiring, he was an avid fisherman and then turned avid golfer. Jim found great joy both on the course and watching the game on TV. He enjoyed following almost all sports. A history buff at heart, Jim loved learning about the past and stories that shaped the world.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy; his daughters, Robin and Rhonda; his grandchildren, Sarah and Josh; his daughter-in-law, Amanda and his great-grandchildren, Abby and Charlie. His steady presence, unexpected humor, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His life was one of service, love, and quiet joy - a testament to loyalty, family, and the small moments that make a life well-lived. May you rest in Peace with our Lord.
