He was born on April 6, 1951, the son of Marjorie (Dudley) Pedersen and Cleo Pedersen. He graduated from West Branch High School and Upper Iowa University. After college, he returned to West Branch to farm and worked in agriculture all his life. Football was his passion. He played high school and college football and was a starter all four years. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and held season tickets for many years, even painting "Go Hawks" on the side of his grain bin. He enjoyed many fishing trips to Minnesota and traveling with his wife Deanna of 25 years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Branch.
Bob is survived by his wife; his children, Justin (Michelle), Beau and Seth and four grandchildren; Deanna's children, Wes (Jodi) Clemens and Monica (Corey) Nemmers and four grandchildren; two brothers, Steve (Pat) Pedersen and Dean Pedersen and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, and his sister-in-law Annie Pedersen.
A graveside service will be held on February 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the West Branch Cemetery, West Branch, Iowa.

Uncle Bob. I remember you as the joking uncle. Always a soft spot for Carrie and I and always kidding around with us. I´ll never forget your laugh and your beat up truck. We had lots of fond memories on the farm with our cousins and family. While we are sad as a family we rejoice in the joys of heaven. Love you.
