Drake Nicholas Hosch, 18, of West Branch, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at his home.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, September 25, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in West Branch. Burial will follow in Honey Grove Cemetery, West Branch.

Drake was born November 7, 2006, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Nicholas and Jennifer (Park) Hosch. He graduated from West Branch High School in 2024. Drake loved animals, especially his dog and 2 cats. He enjoyed gaming, anime, and tinkering on cars including fixing whatever broke on his own truck. Drake had a love for music and you would rarely see him without his headphones on. Every December, he looked forward to deer hunting with his father. Drake adored his Grandma Judy and one of his favorite things was to challenge her to a game of chess when he saw her.

He is survived by his parents, Nick and Carol Hosch of West Branch; siblings, Alex Hosch and Mackayla (Andy) Heims, both of Manchester; Vanessa Taylor and Annabel (Chris) Wheeler, both of Cedar Rapids and Allie Bryan and Isabelle Bryan, both of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Judy Roling of Dyersville and Joyce Blickhan of Quincy, Illinois; and many loving aunts and uncles: Tiffany Mussman of Nashua; Dannielle (Paul) Nolan of Mason City; Matt (Bianca) Roling of Cedar Rapids; Katie Hosch of Dubuque; Christina Hacker of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Steve (Tammy) Brueggeman, and John (Angi) Brueggeman, both of Quincy, Illinois. He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews and multiple cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer.
