Don Hosch, 82, of Fairfax, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 22, 2025. A private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Cascade, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.
Don was born January 22, 1943, in Cascade, to Ray and Helen (Manternach) Hosch. He served in the Iowa Army National Guard based in Dubuque, Iowa. On April 18, 1964, Don was united in marriage to Ann Devaney at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Cascade. He worked as a head of maintenance at Wilson Foods before transitioning to Rockwell Collins in Coralville, Iowa, where he remained until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ann Hosch of Fairfax; his son, Brett (Jill) Hosch of Johnston, Iowa; his grandson, Justin Hosch of Johnston; and his sisters, Jan (John), Loie (Dave), Lynn, Connie (Lee), Terri (Jim), Norine (Joe), and Julie (Marty).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Helen Hosch.
