Donald Eugene Dauber, 83, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.
No public services are planned.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the West Branch Fire Department Foundation.
Don was born March 13, 1942 in Iowa City the son of Ernest Daniel and Clara Evelyn (Kortum) Dauber. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in 1960. For many years Don was employed with Hales and Hunter which later became Cargill in West Branch. On April 7, 1987 he was united in marriage to Helen E. Brade in Cape Coral, Florida. Don enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his wife Helen of West Branch, two children: Lisa (Tim) Stull of West Branch and Ryan (Katie) Dauber of Osage Beach, Missouri and daughter in law: Laurie Dauber of West Branch. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Nick, Jessica, Dana, Linsie, Kolton and Landon, 9 great grandchildren and a sister: Dianne (Jerry) Radford of Solon. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Dan and a brother Darrel.
Don's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Simpson Memorial Home and its staff for the exceptional care and compassion shown to him during his stay.
