Chicopee-Robert F. Poli, Jr, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 24, 2024. Born in Holyoke on July 12, 1970, nicknamed "Bobby", he was the son of the late Robert Sr and Carol J. (Calkins) Poli of South Hadley. Bobby grew up in South Hadley, later moving to Hadley. Throughout his youth, he enjoyed spending time at his grandparents' home with his two brothers. Bobby graduated High School from Hopkins Academy in 1988. In his leisure, he enjoyed visiting local flea markets, collecting antiques and baseball cards. He often spent weekends at his mom's house or with friends watching football games. Bobby was employed at Pilkington Auto Glass, where he worked for 17 years as an auto glass delivery driver. He was dedicated to his job and worked hard every day. Bobby will be dearly missed by his mother, Carol, along with his niece, Crystal Poli, and youngest brother, Raymond Poli. He will be sadly missed by relatives and friends. Bobby was predeceased by his father, Robert Sr in 1999 and his brother, Richard F. in 2000. A visitation time will be held Tuesday, Feb 6 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home and burial will take place privately for the family at a later date. Poli was my father's true friend since childhood. We would use to go see marvel movies together and then grab dinner afterwards. He was a very honest and trustworthy person. May you rest in eternal peace with almighty God and your family up in Heaven

A true best friend from the moment we met in 1975. We shared many a laugh and explored the world together in the old pickup. Storms and blizzards couldn't stop us from going to all the events we attended. Thank you for all the good memories You will be forever missed my friend. May you rest in Peace.
