Bob was born on May 8, 1938 in Martinsburg, WV, the son of the late Nelson R. Taylor and Lillian Kees Henley. Bob was a member of the Wardensville Congregation of Jehovah Witness, was an entrepreneur, and loved playing his guitar, writing music, and doing cross word puzzles.
Bob married Hilda Taylor on July 20, 1957 in Ellicott City, MD.
Surviving with his wife of 65 years is a son: Richard R. Taylor, Sr. of Augusta, WV; a daughter: Susan D. Novak of Fort Ashby, WV; three brother: William W. Taylor of Eastern Shore; Gary D. Henley of Pasadena, MD; Gilbert L. Henley, Jr.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two sons: Robert N. Taylor, Jr. & Philip B. Taylor, Sr.; a daughter: Kandie Jo Bock; a brother: Joseph J. Taylor; and a sister: Nikki F. Taylor.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the Wardensville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 18331 WV-29, Baker, WV 26801, on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be Carl Adolphson.
The family will receive friends at the Kingdom Hall from 1:30-2 PM.
