Rose Madeline Alfieri

Rose M. (nee Pettigano), 98, of Saddle Brook, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Saddle Brook. Rose found joy in trips to AC, was a phenomenal baker, and proudly cheered for the Yankees. Above all, her greatest love was for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known for her quiet demeanor and immense love, Rose embraced the tradition of her big Italian family, relishing in Sunday dinners and lively family gatherings. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit and love will forever live on in the memories of those she touched.
Cherished wife of the late Paul. Loving mother of Paul Alfieri, Jr. and his wife Gail, Robert Alfieri and his wife Linda, Judith Santlofer and her husband Mitchell, and Richard Alfieri and his wife Lisa. Treasured grandmother of Timothy Alfieri, Margaret (Brandon) Jones, Anthony Alfieri, Christopher Alfieri, Lisa Alfieri, Jason (Melanie) Santlofer, Stacy (Anthony) Mazzola, and Brianna (fiancé Salvatore DeGennaro) Alfieri, and great-grandchildren Sean, Isabella, Tristan, Emma, Malone, Angelina, Gavin, Brooke, Adriana, Ashlyn, and Ava. Predeceased by her granddaughter, Jodi Whitley, grandson, Paul Joseph Alfieri, and sisters, Theresa Greco, Gilda Tuzzolo, Josephine Cuccia, and Mary Lou Flore. Rose was cared for lovingly for over 2 years by her devoted caretaker Joy.
Family will receive friends on Friday June 21, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday June 22, 2024, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 1 Passaic Street Ridgewood, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Saddle Brook, Saddle Brook, NJ.
