Ruth Evelyn Poplin

Ruth Evelyn Poplin, age 71 of Dardanelle, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Baptist Health Medical Center. She was born November 25, 1951 in Waverly, Tennessee to the late Floyd Moore and Marie Buchanan. She was a member of the Pottsville Assembly of God Church and she loved sewing, cooking, crocheting, playing board games and planting flowers. She retired after working 30 plus years at Petit Jean Poultry and Wayne Farms in Danville. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Poplin; daughter, Anna Poplin; brother, John Moore; brother-in-law, Danny Garner and sister-in-law, Geraldine Moore.
Survivors include her daughter, Shawn Thompson; bonus daughter, Peggy Frazier; son-in-law, Frank McDaniel; siblings, James Moore (Kathy), Carroll Moore, Bill Moore (Dequita), Emmalou Wedge (Mike), Janice Garner, Wanda Hixson; grandchildren, Bobby Joe "Joey" Solley, Britney Miller, Hali Harper (Mack), Chance Poplin, Taylor Poplin; great grandchildren, Trent Miller, Peyton Miller, Lyle Miller, Jasmine Harper, Eli Harper, Julie Harper, Tre Harper, Seth Harper and her best friend, Denise Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Pastor Robin St. Clair officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be in Lower Spring Creek Cemetery in Belleville.
Pallbearers will be Chance, Taylor, Joey, Trent, Peyton and Mack.
