Sharon L. Gardner, 68, of Staatsburg, NY, passed away on June 10, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Sharon was born on December 10, 1956, in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Sharon worked as a retail manager at the Dollar Tree in Fishkill, NY. She was extremely proud of being a manager but considered caring for her family her most important role. She had a passion for knitting, along with gardening, and spending time with her loved ones and pets. Sharon was a fighter she endured many health complications but she never let it stop her from enjoying life.
She is survived by her mother Helen J Duntz of Poughkeepsie; her children, Matthew M. Gardner (his companion Katie Kelly), Richard W. Gardner, and Erica M. Gardner; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Andrew Kilmer and Charlie Flood; several nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion, Daniel Wasvary of Staatsburg, along with his two daughters Arlene, Stacy and their families. She was predeceased by her father Charles J Ingles and brother, Billy Ingles.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park. Interment will follow in the family plot at Union Cemetery on Friday, June 20, 2025. Cremation already took place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
