Sidney Paul Greene

MUNROE FALLS - Sidney Paul Greene passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023, at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center at the age of 84.
Born in Akron, Ohio, on October 23, 1938, to James and Doris (Davis) Greene, and the younger brother of James, Margarett, and Ronald. He was proudly drafted into the U.S. Army in 1961. While in the Army, Sid worked as a Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Operator in Vietnam. When he got out of the service, he was employed as an Automotive Technician for over 40 years before retiring to enjoy the slower pace of life. He enjoyed driving and taking care of his vehicles. He also loved listening to local live bands, dancing, and enjoyed spending time at the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the FOP lodge #6 in North Canton and Akron. He loved to travel, take pictures, and make memories with good friends. He also took immense pride in his home in Munroe Falls where he enjoyed working in his yard and tinkering with projects around the house.
He was a long-time member of Maranatha Bible Church in Akron.
He is survived by his children; Brandon (Jessica) Greene, Emily Cunningham, and his two grandchildren, Ethan and Owen Cunningham.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Road, Peninsula, OH 44264.
