HUDSON - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Sue Krampf, who passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 80 years old.
Sue was born on December 6, 1944, in Hamburg, New York, and was the youngest of two. She graduated with her Nursing degree from the University of Michigan and her Master's degree in Nursing from Kent State University. She spent over 30 years as a dedicated nurse working in various settings - Akron Children’s Hospital, the Summit County Public Health Department, and the Stow City Public School District. She not only worked as a nurse, but also as an instructor at both the University of Akron and Kent State University.
Sue found her soul mate, Bob, while in college at the University of Michigan, and they were married on June 14, 1969. Together they raised two children, Kevin and Keri in Hudson, Ohio, where they have resided for the past 55 years.
Sue thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at her church and attending Bible studies. When her kids were young, she was a regular volunteer at Hudson High School, working in the classroom and as a school nurse.
She will be remembered for her smiling face and loving heart. Sue never thought of anyone as a stranger and was always making sure everyone felt welcome.
Sue is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob Krampf; son, Kevin (Erica); daughter, Keri (Josh); sister, Linda; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Calvin, Morgan, Riley, Chance, and Kenzie, as well as many nephews.
A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12 noon, at Christ Community Chapel, 750 West Streetsboro Street, Hudson 44236.
