Thomas Lewis Kenny of Navarre passed away December 1, 2023, at Union Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Dover after an extended illness. He was born August 4, 1944, to his parents, the late, Thomas H. Kenny and Ethel Kenny. He was also preceded in death by his son, Thomas R. Kenny, and brother, David J. Kenny.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judith (Wentling) Kenny; daughters, Anya D. Kenny and Laura A. Fortner (Craig); grandchildren, Jack, Dawson, Olivia, and Isabella Fortner; sister, Jane Kenny Bailey and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom graduated from Fairless High School in 1962 and The Ohio State University in 1967. Upon graduation he worked for the Department of Defense in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Cartographer. Nine years later he returned to Ohio and became a Human Resource Manager for Consolidated Freightways Trucking in Richfield until his retirement in 2005.
Tom was an avid model train collector, running his models, and enjoyed watching trains at crossings throughout the United States (especially @ Moffat Tunnel in the CO Rockies). He loved to travel and would talk about places all over the world where he had or hadn't been.
Tom was a member of The Wilderness Center, The Brewster HIstorical Society, The Brewster Moose, and The Massillon Museum.
