It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Vicki Kress, who left us on October 17, 2023 at the age of 69. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and cherished friend to many.
She was born on August 14th in Kittery Maine, to Jack and Ruth MacKinnon. She grew up in Litchfield, NH. A graduate of Alvirne High School in Hudson and attended St. Anslem College in Manchester, NH. On the West side of Manchester is where she met the love of her life, Jim. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of countless individuals with her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit.
She is survived by Husband of 41 years Jim Kress, daughter Catherine (Kress) Schaaf, her spouse Michael John Schaaf and her beloved grandchildren William James Schaaf and Annabel Louise Schaaf all of Dillon, CO. Her brothers John MacKinnon (Cheryl MacKinnon) of Meredith, NH and David MacKinnon (Jennifer MacKinnon) of Englewood, FL. Vicki will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She had many passions in life, including attending many music concerts, especially her favorite Boogie and Blues Festival in Thorton, NH. Vicki enjoyed car rides to the beach, camping trips with friends and nature walks with her husband to seek the Blue Heron. She earned a master’s degree in Non-profit management, working at Harbor Homes in Nashua, NH and Child Health Services in Manchester, NH. Retiring in 2018, from Phoenix Precast in Concord, NH.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023 from 1PM-3PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire on 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Come see the family to share stories and fun memories of her huge smile and fun loving attitude. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who offered support and kindness during this difficult time.
