Madeline Sheehan, nicknamed Ellen, age 72, passed away after a short illness at Lowell General Hospital on September 8, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Charles T. Pierce and Alma Pierce of Pelham, NH and sister of the late Charles T. Pierce, Jr. Ellen graduated from Alvirne High School in Hudson, NH and received an associate’s degree from Castle College. Prior to retiring, Ellen worked at JCPenney as a Sales Supervisor, and previously worked at Wang Laboratories as an Associate Financial Analyst. Ellen was a fun-loving, outgoing character who loved painting and making crafts. Ellen was also an avid animal lover. She is survived by her sister, Cheryl Pierce of Windham, NH and her niece, Meagan Bruce of Hudson, NH. She also held a special place in her heart for three devoted friends, Jean Lanoue of Lowell, MA, Paul Matte of Pelham, NH and Renee Nichols of Chelmsford, MA. Her funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 12 Main St., Pelham, NH on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Saint Patrick Cemetery, 1251 Gorham St., Lowell, MA. Donations, in memory of Ellen, can be sent to the MSPCA through their website at mspca.org or make a check payable to MSPCA-Angell and mail to 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
