Wayne Prince
Was born on March 22, 1931, in Ripley Tenn. to the late Edward Prince and Eva (Ash) Prince. He passed away on Saturday December 10, 2022, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO at the age of 91 years,
Preceding him in death was his parents; Edward Prince and Eva (Ash) Prince, one son, David Wayne Prince in 2013, one brother, Thomas Gene Prince, two sister – In –laws Linda & Beverly Prince. He was united in marriage on September 6, 1949, to Shirley Burk, she preceded him on death in February 2013. Wayne was a people person he loved talking to people while cutting their hair at his barber shop or catching up on fishing stories in his shop in Marston.
Wayne was a member of the Missouri National Guard for 20+ years and a former Mayor of Marston.
He was a born salesman and an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt and fish and spent a lot of time at his place at Reelfoot Lake but would not give up his fishing "hot" spots.
He was a barber for almost 70 years, who gave a lot of men their first haircut as a child. And through the years he educated them on hunting, fishing, life, automobiles, politics, and medical advice. He loved his customers and loved to share stories. The sign that hung in his barber shop said it all "It's not bragging if you can do it!"
He leaves to cherish her memories his daughter: Angela Prince of Marston, MO, three brothers: Mack Prince of St. Louis, MO, Dub Prince of New Madrid, MO, Cary (Mary) Prince of Jackson, MO, his sister: Carolyn Ann (Ray) Fowler of LaForge, MO, one grandchild: David Wayne Prince II and a host of many other relatives and friends
