Our boys are now magnificent young men. They learned so much from Bill, and they have so much of him in their genes beyond the physical.

HOPI INDIAN PRAYER
Do not stand
at my grave and weep.
I am not there,
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the
diamond
glints on snow.
I am the sunlight
on the ripened
grain.
I am the gentle Autumn's
rain.
When you awaken
in the morning hush,
I am the swift
uplifting rush
of quiet birds in
circled flight.
I am the
soft stars that
shine
at night.
Do not stand
at my grave
and cry:
I am not there,
I did not die.
Bill lives on in his sons: in their beauty, their sense of humor, their avid pursuit of knowledge... The twinkle in his eyes is still reflected back to me from their eyes and from his brother's.
Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Dear Hollis and Matthews Families,
My condolences to your families. I have kept Bill and his family in my thoughts and prayers over the past few months and will continue to do so. I always looked forward to having Bill on site, because I knew that what ever problems we were having, he would have a solution. Over the years we had many conversations regarding our mutual love for the game of hockey. When he would talk of his family he always had a sparkle in his eyes.
Sincerely.
David Sprague

I knew Bill during my five year association with him at Network Synergy. He was always an optimist looking at the brighter things in life and not looking back at how things could have been. His friendship will be sadly missed.

My deepest regrets to Jane and her family. I will miss Bill as a part of the Network Synergy family. He was a pillar of strength and a fine example of professionalism for the younger members of the staff. I can only say from my heart that I have good memories of him as a friend and coworker that I will always cherish. Farewell old friend.

Bill became much more than the "Tech Support Guy" who visited our facilities every month. Bill handled each question or problem from our mostly computer ignorant staff with the utmost patience. We talked about photography, music and life. His smile and his wry sense of humor will be with me always. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and co-workers.

Jane, Ian and Stephen, my deepest condolenses go out to you at this time. Bill was a great asset to Network Synergy and on behalf of the entire organization he will truly be missed. He will be remembered for the love of his family and geneology as well as his love for computers and astronomy.

Please accept my deepest condolences to both the Hollis and Matthews families.
Always professional and calm yet anxious to learn something new. A great personality with the spark of irony. You were, are and will be missed by your colleagues at Network Synergy and myself.

My deepest condolences to Bill"s family.
I met Bill when I used to work for Princess Hotels.
We used to walk around the block during our lunch hour. He used to always tell amusing stories about , I'd say just about any topic you can think of.
So long old Friend.
I'm going to miss you.
Regards,
Amod.

On behalf of Paul and myself, our deepest sympathy goes out to Jane, Ian and Stephen. I had worked with Bill for many years and always enjoyed his dry wit and funny stories. His recall of 50's music (lyrics, titles, artists, etc.) was amazing. He had a great devotion to his wife and sons, always sharing stories of what new projects they were working on and how proud he was of them. In all those years of knowing Bill, he had a great attitude about life, always thinking positive. He was a wonderful person, a trusted colleague and friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Bill I'll never regret giving Jane away to you at your wedding. The fun we had running and working out together, the all day all night weekend jobs (Wofsey/Rosen with Shorty, TBS. etc.), the list goes on. You will always be in my prayers.

On behalf of Anne and myself - we offer the Hollis family our deepest condolences. I valued Bill as a friend and colleague. Although I am no longer at NSC - my time there was made far more bearable with Bill's always upbeat demeanor. He will be missed.
