William Allen Massey

William Allen Massey, 84, of Searcy, AR, peacefully passed away on May 29, 2024. He was born on February 20, 1940, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Henderson Massey and Dorothy Massey Little. William served in the Air National Guard and was called to active duty to serve in Japan during Vietnam War. He was a born again Christian and served as a deacon at Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas. William spent most of his life involved with cars and the automotive industry. He was a co-owner of a car dealership and was a finance manager. He had a background in auto sales, selling automotive diagnostic equipment, and more. William was very friendly and was able to strike up a conversation with anyone and never met a stranger. In earlier years, he coached youth soccer in Searcy, AR while his sons were of playing age and beyond. He loved cheering for the Razorbacks, watching movies, especially Science Fiction, and listening to oldies and the funky blues.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Fay Massey; son, Kenneth Massey, daughter in law, Amanda Massey; son, Shawn Massey, daughter in law, Jennifer Massey, and grandchildren Taylor and Jackson Massey; son, Cory Massey, daughter in law Robyn Massey, and grandchildren, Grant and Bo Massey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henderson Massey and Dorothy Massey Little.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 10:00am, at Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 9:00am. Interment, with military honors, will follow at 1:00pm, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Little Rock.
