Ernest Wayne Leedy

Ernest Leedy, 82, of Diamond City, Arkansas departed this life on October 26, 2025 at Hillcrest Home in Harrison, Arkansas.
He was born November 4, 1942 in Neodesha, Kansas to the late Paul and Edna Leedy.
Ernest dedicated 25 years of his life to the railroad, where he took great pride in his work and the friendships he built along the way. A veteran of the National Guard, he carried the same sense of duty and discipline into everything he did. Outside of work, Ernest found joy tending to his garden, collecting model train sets, and old tractors. He loved spending time with his family, especially during gatherings filled with laughter, good food, and music. When he was able, he played piano and he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors, finding peace in nature's quiet.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Everett Bowman, Pasty Spikes, Wanda Bowman, and Stanley Bowman, his sister, Phyllis Hines, and his nieces, Toni Medlock and Brenda Hines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lee Leedy.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Scantlin Cemetery in Bradford, Arkansas. Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob, Arkansas. Interment will be in Scantlin Cemetery in Bradford, Arkansas.
