James Enos "Bibo" Bumpous

James Enos Bumpous, 61, of Thida, left this earth on Friday, October 31, 2025. He was born in Bradford, Arkansas to Edward "Eugene" and Peggy "Delois" (Chambliss) Bumpous on March 29, 1964.
Bibo married Kimberly Shaw on October 15, 2005. Bibo had two sons and a stepson. He spent many years working outages and shutdowns at the power plant where he was a pipefitter. Throughout the years he was a boiler maker and truck driver. His favorite times were spent with his family and friends, but most of all his grandchildren. Taking care of his dog and best friend, Gus was always an enjoyment to him as well as remodeling his home and visiting historical sites as he traveled the United States. In his younger years he spent his spare time hunting, fishing and any outdoor activities. He will be missed by many.
Bibo is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kimberly Shaw; his children, Brian Bumpous, Luke Bumpous (Skyler) and Ty Shaw (Jessica); his grandchildren, Brenton, Layton, Lilah and Henry; 4 brothers, Ronny Bumpous (Teresa), Donny Bumpous (Gennie), Tim Bumpous (Elizabeth) and Thomas Bumpous (Christy); brother-in-law, Bill Hill; sister-in-law, Judy Bumpous; many nieces and nephews as well as countless family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lonny Bumpous; sister, Connie Hill; sisters-in-law, Margie, Sheree and Leslie Bumpous; 5 nieces and nephews, Brian, Tanner, Noah, Sophie and Grace.
Services will be conducted at New Life Church of God in Newport, Arkansas on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Funeral will begin at 1:00pm with visitation preceding from 12-1. Interment will follow at Browns Memorial Cemetery, Union Hill, Arkansas.
