William Nye Obituary

Bill attended Hudson High School and proudly went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He then worked at M&S in Hudson for over 40 years where he retired as a quality control supervisor. Bill was a calm and collected man who enjoyed fishing at his lake house, reading the Free Press, joking with his family and friends and watching UofM Sports. Bill was also a very generous man who will leave behind an impact on all that knew him.
Bill is survived by two children, Richard (Laura) Nye of Hillsdale, Jill (Mark) Draper of Hillsdale; and three grandchildren, Eric Nye, Carly (Scott) Hasen, and Leah (Morgan Langhann) Nye.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Peggy; and three siblings, Ruth Hanna, Marilyn Richards, and Frank "Fritz" Nye.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Drews Village Green for taking such good care of Bill.
A private family graveside will take place at Maple Grove in Hudson. Arrangements are entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Greater Hillsdale Humane Society or Hospice of Hillsdale County.
