Willie James Haynes, Jr also known as "Chilly Willie" was born in Hughes Arkansas to the union of Willie and Dorothy Haynes, Sr. They moved to Benton Harbor, Mi in 1966. Willie met the love of his life and soon after married Deborah Word. They remained together until his death.
Willie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Hopewell Baptist Church under the late John L Simmons and later he became a member of Word of Truth Deliverance under Bishop James Hightower.
Willie worked for many years in manufacturing. He later found a passion in lawn care. For those who knew "Chilly Willie," there was never a dull moment with him around. Willie was very outgoing and loved to crack jokes. Willie was always the life of the party and never met a stranger. Willie also enjoyed scraping and barbequing and loved his family unconditionally.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Deborah Haynes, parents Willie and Dorothy Haynes Sr, and children, Lakeisha (Reginald) Baldwin, Willie Haynes, III, Teamisk, and Denell Word. 12 grandchildren,6 great-grandchildren, brothers, Otis (Marcia) Haynes, Gregory Haynes, Michael Haynes, Victor (Delphine) Haynes, Timothy (Mia) Haynes, and Darren Haynes.
Best friends: Harvey Bass, Harold Beckum, and Frank Thomas
He was preceded in death by grandparents maternal and paternal, and one Uncle Floyd Campbell.
