Clay Linwood Caddell

June 24, 1962 - August 19, 2025

Clay Linwood Caddell 63, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025. He was born June 24, 1962 to the late James Henry Caddell and Mary Booker Caddell.

He attended St. Anne's Belfield high school where he was a three sport athlete, excelling in all, football, basketball and lacrosse.

He is survived by his brother, David Michael Caddell; sisters, Mary Cynthia Hewitt, husband, Richard, and Laurie Booker Driver; a niece, Caitlin Hewitt Schurtz, husband, Jackson; nephew, Richard Christopher Hewitt; and his dear friend/brother, Frank Rivera.

Clay loved sports, music, and NASCAR. He will be remembered for his caring demeanor, great sense of humor and positive spirit. Clay was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A private family service will be held to honor Clay. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be given the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

So sorry to hear of Clay´s passing. My sister Faith often babysat for the 4 of you & I sometimes did too. Clay was a fun and adventurous kid who used those "talents" to excel in sports in high school. I know you will miss him immensely & pray you have peace knowing he no longer is suffering. Blessings
