Debra Elliott entered heaven on February 16, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was wrapped in the arms of our Lord as she joined the many loved ones who preceded her in heaven. Oh what a celebration that must have been. Debra was dedicated to family and friends, especially her sons and their families. Debra cherished every moment with the 4 grandchildren who knew her simply as GiGi. She is survived by two sons Tyson Sparks, wife Kelly, and Cody Marlow, wife Julia, and 4 grandchildren Kaden Sparks, Jaxson Sparks, Noah Marlow and Nina Marlow, Sister Teresa Matheny, Brother-in-Law Jerry Matheny, Brother Vance Elliott and stepbrother Rhandy Simmons. From a career military family Debra traveled throughout her youth settling in Garland, Texas where she attended Garland High School. She loved playing sports, listening to music and of course dancing. Debra’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, GiGi, sister, and friend. While she will be deeply missed by all we look forward to seeing her again one day. A celebration of life will be held on March 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Charles W. She was born April 9, 1972, in Park Ridge, New Jersey, and came to Ann Arbor by way of Barrington, Rhode Island and Battle Creek, Michigan.

Leah Michelle Boyd Billingsley, 40, left us on May 4, 2025, at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC. Leah was born on June 5, 1984, to Clark Gary and Renita Ingram Boyd. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Jacob "Jaycee" Ingram and paternal grandparents, Rev. Johnnie G. and Grace R. Boyd.

Born in Washington, DC on September 10, 1959 to the late Henry and Margaret Nicowski, she graduated from La Reine High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Maryland and a Master's from the School of Hard Knocks.

Karen Jean Lewis (nee Arl) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 7, 2025 after battling cancer for nearly eight years. Karen was born in Belleville, IL on February 11, 1946 to Harold and Eugenia Arl.

Corene Hawkins-Crenshaw was born May 30, 1931, to Columbus "Lum" Hawkins Sr. and Opal "Opie" Pugh-Hawkins in Bolling, Alabama, as the fourth of fourteen children. Corene departed this life on June 10, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents and all thirteen of her siblings.

Dr. Jennifer Erica Mathis, Ph.D., died on June 6, 2025, in Santa Rosa, CA, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 53. She was comforted in her final days and hours by her family and friends who gathered at her bedside. Born on September 20, 1971, in Nevada, Iowa, Jennifer lived a life marked by passion, resilience, and intellectual pursuit.

Dana Marie Krista, a woman who touched the hearts of those around her, passed away surrounded by family on July 28, 2025, in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 50 years old.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Keyes Sponseller, 73, of Maineville, Ohio, died on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025. Born May 6, 1952, in Coldwater, Michigan, to Robert and Dolores (Nowicki) Keyes, she graduated from Prairie Heights High School, LaGrange, Indiana, in 1970. She earned a Bachelor's of Education with a focus in Special Education in 1974, from the University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1987.

Nancy Jo Eller, 73, of Frederick, Maryland passed away at her home on August 13, 2025 following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born June 3, 1952 in Easton, Pennsylvania to parents Evelyn and Robert Eller.

Denise Marie Zanni, 38, of Warwick, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Born August 23, 1986, in Providence, she was the daughter of Rosalba (Pelosi) Zanni and the late Michael Zanni. Denise was a big personality in a small package. She had an impact on each person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, full of joy, a ball of fire that showed us what can be accomplished with determination, to never give up. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother, and she was as an amazing one. Denise was a friend to many, she was a pillar in her children's softball community, they were a second family to her. She always showed up and supported the league any way she could.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sybil Nora Berry. After about two years of battling with metastatic breast cancer, she let go on April 4, 2025 with the love of her life and father to her kids, daughter, and son at her side in her final moments. She was 50 years old.

Amanda Brie Scanlan, 46, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 30, 2025. She was born in April 1979 in Pekin, Illinois, to Kim Nierstheimer of Pekin, Illinois, and Cynthia Sites of Nashville, Tennessee. Amanda grew up in Pekin and graduated from Peoria Notre Dame High School.

Born on January 3, 1949, in New Britain, CT, daughter of the late Henry and Sophie (Pietraszewski) Raczkowski, Babs was a woman of keen intelligence and boundless energy, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Kathy Jo Brockway, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home in Olathe, Kansas, on April 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Kathy faced breast cancer with incredible strength and determination, first diagnosed in 2018 and later battling metastatic breast cancer since 2022. Born on June 25, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Robert Gerald Wheeler and Johann Ellen (Towlsey) Wheeler, Kathy's life was filled with love for her family.

Margaret was born October 29,1934 in Quitman, Georgia to the loving union of James and Beulah Vickers Brown. Also to this union was born another daughter, Dorothy "Dot" Davis. The family moved to Ocala, Florida when Margaret was a toddler. Margaret graduated from Ocala's Howard Academy Public School in 1952.

Julianne C. Gonzalez, of Manchester, NH, passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 34 in Boston, MA after bravely battling breast cancer. She was deeply loved by many, including her husband, Jay; her children, Isaiah, Aaliyah, and Marcellus; her parents, Ronald and Flor; her mother-in-law, Maria; her siblings, Stephanie, Paola, Ronald Jr., and Gerardo; her sister-in-law, Laury; her brothers-in-law, Joan and Juan; her niece, Jemma; Luis; and all her uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

The years of working an Australian cotton farm. The wild ride of daily newspaper reporting and editing at The San Francisco Examiner. The adventure of being a press secretary for one of San Francisco's most memorable mayors, Willie Brown.

Shannen Doherty, star of the television shows "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed," died of cancer Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Malibu, California. She was 53.

Jennifer D. Pineda, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, fiancée, and friend, passed away peacefully in Avon, Massachusetts, on November 7, 2024, at the age of 40. Born on July 23, 1984, in La Ceiba, Honduras, Jennifer was raised in her homeland before moving to the United States at the age of 8, where she built a life filled with love, warmth, and dedication.

Nancy Kessler McDaniel was born in Portland to Donald and Marilyn Kessler, the youngest of their five children. She passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer in Oakland, Calif., her home for the last 30 years.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dannialle Sharbutt, age 42, of Billerica, MA and Columbia, SC. After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Dannialle left this world on November 24, 2024. Born at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, she was the cherished daughter of Carolann and Timothy Sharbutt. Growing up, her family's military lifestyle took her to various places, including Germany, Turkey, and North Carolina, where she developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures.

Lizzy Musi, a professional race car driver and star of the reality series "Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings," died of breast cancer  June 27, 2024 at the age of 33.

Donna Van Hook died on December 20 with Karen King, her partner of 32 years, at her side. After living with metastatic breast cancer for over three years, Donna's immune system was too weak to fight off pneumonia. Donna was comfortable with her final stage of life and peacefully drifted off taking with her that mischievous grin and intense ability to listen.

Rachael Lillis, the voice actress best known as the voices of Misty and Jessie in the hit animated series "Pokémon," died in Los Angeles on August 10, 2024 at the age of 55.

Beverly Louise (Wangler) Sedlock of Norwalk passed away after a courageous 6-year battle with breast cancer. She inspired many people by not allowing cancer to rule her life. Her motto was: "Don't give up, Don't ever give up, Bev Strong!" She lived up to that motto and will be greatly missed. She could strike up a conversation with anybody-a very special and unique soul.

Kris Hallenga, a writer who promoted early breast cancer detection for young women after her own diagnosis in her twenties, died in May 2024 at her home in Cornwall, England at the age of 38.

Actress Olivia Hussey, best known for her starring performance in the 1968 film "Romeo and Juliet," died of breast cancer December 27, 2024 at the age of 73.

Longtime NPR news correspondent Ina Jaffe was one of American radio's most recognizable and reliable voices. She died of breast cancer August 1, 2024 at the age of 75.

Suzanne Somers was beloved for her starring role as Chrissy Snow on the hit sitcom "Three's Company." She died  October 15, 2023 at her home in Palm Springs at the age of 76.

Nikki Kesangane McCray- Penson was born on Dec. 17th 1971 in Collierville Tn and went to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday July 7th 2023. She was preceded in death by her mother Sally Coleman and father Bobby Albright.
