David G. Merry

David G. Merry, 84 of Reading died Tuesday, December 22 at the Windsor Place of Wilmington. Born in Boston on April 17, 1931 he was the son of the late William B. Corinne (Moran) Merry. David was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1950. Following graduation he joined the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon his discharge from Air Force he went to work for the B&M Railroad and later joined HNTB Engineering and spent his entire career with them, 1967-2001. David was the husband of the late Janet (Achorn) Merry. He is survived by his son Craig D. Merry and his wife Lisa of Reading; and his daughter Carol Sanford and her husband David of Pennington, NJ. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Alyssa, Lindsay, and William. He was preceded in death by his brother Bradford Merry. His funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 1:30pm with visitation for relatives and friends starting prior to the service at 12:30pm. Interment will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
