Gilbert Salado was born on Feb. 4, 1929 in Flagstaff, AZ. to Jose Pedro Salado and Felicitas de Lopez. He passed away on Jan. 13, 2016 at 86 in Indio, with his family by his side. He married Nestora Aguilera on Sept. 25, 1950 in Yuma, AZ. He is survived by his wife, Nestora, of 65 years; four daughters, Delilah Dobbins, Margaret Salado of Palm Desert; Diane (John) Carey of Rancho Mirage and Vivian (Tom) Montoya of Coachella, He had 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. He was one of 8 siblings and is survived by 3 sisters, Mary (Tom) Vaughn of Bull Head City; Dora (Leroy) Munoz of Coachella; and Teri (Billy) Felix of Banning. Along with many nieces and nephews, and many great family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Felicitas Salado, his brothers, Robert, Guadalupe and Ernest Salado and one sister Carmen Ramirez. He was an extremely devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed. Services will be held at Our Lady of Soledad Church in Coachella on January 21, 2016, as follows: Viewing 10:00; Rosary 11:00 and Mass at 12:00, with a celebration of life to follow at the Eagles Lodge in Coachella.
