Born September 9, 1960, in Indio, California, Meto was a beloved son, father, brother and friend. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, deep love for his family, and the warmth and humor he shared with everyone who knew him. From his teenage years working in construction-operating heavy equipment like excavators and backhoes-through decades of building homes, roads and relationships, Meto made his mark by doing things with both skill and heart.
He is survived by his mother Mary Ann Perez; three children, Brianna Sedberry (Corey), Aaron Perez and Analise Perez; seven grandchildren, Sakari, Evan, Kamdyn, Mikayla, Olivia, Kadyn and Christian; and three sisters, Christina Nava, Beatrize Arellano and Diana Lopez. He is also lovingly remembered by longtime friend Kathleen Carrasco. He was preceded in death by his father Romulo D. Perez and his brother Raul "Bully" Perez.
Church services will be on Thursday October 30 at 2pm Sacred Heart Church 43775 Deep Canyon Rd Palm Desert, CA 92260. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday October 30, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at The American Legion In Indio - 44200 Sun Gold St Indio, CA 92201. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories in honor of Romulo's life.
